Who am I?

I grew up in Brewton, AL where I attended W.S. Neal High School and then majored in secondary education/language arts at AUM.  My first teaching  job was at Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, AL.  I then transferred to Pace.  I taught English at Pace High for ten years.  Five of the ten years I taught AP Literature.  I then moved into the role of a literacy coach for four years, where my primary role was professional development for teachers in the district. I have also served as an adjunct professor at UWF and PSC.  I am currently an adjunct teacher with Santa Rosa Online as well.  This is my first year back in the classroom, and I could not be more excited to be working with freshmen.

Personally speaking, I have been married for 13 years.  My husband is also a teacher.  He teachers math and coaches football and baseball at Flomaton High School in Flomaton, AL.  We live in Cantonment with our two sons, Jeremiah (4) and Ross (9).  I also have an identical twin sister, Suzie Norton, who teaches ESE at Pace High.  We live across the street from one another and both have two small boys.

My hobbies include: reading, writing, running, and spending time with my boys.  We spend most of our evenings at the ball fields.
